One of the side results of being a creative person is that you are always making new ‘things’. As I produce new pieces of art, not only do I have more examples of my abilities, my supplies accumulate and the space needed to store my supplies increases. As other friends stop different creative pursuits, I tend to inherit their crafting left-overs. I don’t mind! However; it does cause some “Now what am I going to do with that stuff?” types of thoughts.
Being a teacher for preschool and kindergarten has also caused a knack to see potential in everything. Do you have any idea what a toilet paper roll can be transformed into? This can be problematic to a creative-collector. I have always thought I would like to be an artist-in-residence, so I have kept boxes of potential project supplies for my future endeavors. I can see all of these pieces of art in my mind, and every time I go to par-down, I am only reminded of the ‘things’ I had planned to make.
The time is now!! As my art career becomes my focus, I have to start using the materials I have been saving. Like the supplies I have in abundance, I have an abundance of memories and stories to go with the ‘who’ and ‘where’ the foundational items came from. I also have an abundant quantity of ideas yet to come to fruition.
Creativity and inspiration in profusion + an ample amount of supplies = Expressions of Abundance.
